Gwardo and Sambot both shared this TechCrunch story with me, and I must say it’s beyond stupid in this day and age. We can’t keep putting stupid financial quarrels ahead of the lowering of emissions responsible for global warming.

Essentially, bus companies in Ontario sued PickupPal (kind of a carpooling match-up service) for treading on their turf according to certain technicalities. When I read this, I wanted to start or sign some kind of petition, but apparently they already created one and closed it to deliver the names to the Ontario Government. PickupPal lost the court case, but it’s still possible that the charges will be dropped pending legislative amendments tabled by the Ontario Government.
